There are several roadwork projects that are ongoing this weekend and motorists are advised to drive cautiously through the work areas and observe all posted speed limits and construction signs.
Today, Saturday, Feb. 15, a Department of Public Works contractor will be milling and paving the southbound lanes at the Route 1/8 Intersection in Agana from 6 am to 6 pm. Access to all businesses along this construction route will remain open.
On Sunday, Feb. 16, the DPW contractor will be milling and paving the northeast corner of the Route 1/8 Intersection in Agana from 6 am to 6 pm. Access to all businesses along this construction route will remain open.
Motorists are advised that there will be lane closures and lane shifts in the area from 6 am to 6 pm and to drive cautiously through the construction zones. The traffic signals will not be operational during construction and taking alternate routes and/or adjusting drive times is encouraged.
In addition, the Route 3 Widening and Road Diversion project also started last Feb. 13 and will last through mid-April 2020.
Starting at 9 am, Route 3 northbound and southbound lanes will shift to the new pavement in the eastern project corridor from just North of Artero Drive to Starts Golf Course.
Motorists are encouraged to adjust driving times when feasible.
